I'm sitting here listening to my son in the baby monitor making noises that can only be described as chirping! And it surprises me, as it always does, how much my heart just fills up with love. I know it's cheesy, sorry. But it is always amazing to me to watch this little person who is so filled with joy. We try to record the sweet sounds he makes (not always easy) because we don't want to forget how he sounds. I don't know that there is anything sweeter than a baby's squeal or laugh!

Ok, so it's been a thousand years since I posted anything. My child is only 15 months old, you'd think I'd have the hang of this, but no! Anyway, my little man is quite busy these days! He's walking everywhere and trying his best to get into everything.

As you can tell from the picture, he loves hiding and wrapping up in the curtain! I've been trying to get a good shot of him where you can see his smile through the curtain but that's kind of like catching lightning! Anyway, he looks precious when he's doing it!

He really does love walking around, he'd do it all day if we'd let him. And he gets mad when we don't! He's started to get more opinionated!

We had our 15 month check up last week. He weighs in at 22 lbs and is 31 1/2 in. long. I had thought that he took after me when it came to shots, but I think now he takes after his dad. He really was not happy with me! I've got say that every time your child acts up you know that other moms understand and that doctors understand. But the downside of the doctors and nurses being your friends is that you get a little more embarrassed. So Aidan is officially becoming a toddler! He's still a wonderful little boy, he's just doing what toddlers do!



He really is the happiest little thing! Everywhere we go people tell me that! He loves to laugh and squeal! He's not doing a whole lot of talking yet. But he knows what things are and he loves to jabber. We can't wait to find out what all these things he's saying mean!

He loves his baby pool! Although I think it's just like a big bathtub to him! He's really getting into the splashing! He loves it! We can't stop laughing when we get in the pool!

Oh, and his new thing is shaking his head no! He does it when I tell him no and when he's done eating. It's really cute! And it nice to have communication when we're feeding him! It saves us from having food thrown on the floor!

Ok, I've rambled on enough for now. I've said it before, but I really am going to try and keep up with this blog! I hope everyone enjoys the pics!

Happy Birthday!

Yeah, I'm finally getting this on the blog!! I feel like I've been running around like a lunatic lately. I'm hoping that things will calm down soon. Anyway, I just wanted to put up a couple of pictures from Aidan's birthday and his birthday party! We had so much fun! He did great!

Here he is with his cousin, Maddox! Too cute! They had so much fun playing together!

Here we are opening presents! Much like Christmas, the best presents were cards, envelopes, and bows! We have a lot of pictures of Aidan shoving a bow into his mouth!


Aidan loved his cake!! He dove right in, right on cue! I tell you, there is nothing like watching a baby shovel cake into his mouth! He had the most fun!


He looks so sweet in these two pictures, I just had to share! Here he is waiting to eat. And the other picture was the morning of his birthday, and he's just chillin'!

We are so happy that his birthday went well and that he got to be with his friends and family! And we missed everyone that couldn't be there! Maybe next year!

Here's some pictures of our sweet boy from Christmas! We had a wonderful first Christmas! Of course he really doesn't know what's going on yet. But he did have fun with the wrapping paper and boxes! And he did like his new toys!

He's getting more and more mobile each day! It's amazing how determined he can be when he spots something he wants across the room or in another room. The way his face lights up is just too cute! We are having so much fun with him!

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile, things have been a little crazy with the holidays! But here are our babies! I had to add this cute one of Sebastian! He's wrapped up in his dad's shirt.

Here's our big boy standing in his crib! He's getting so big! He's crawling now! And getting into everything. He's in love with the fireplace and it is his mission to crawl into it!

And here he is with the christmas tree. He loves the lights! He hasn't gone crazy trying to attack it yet, but it's not Christmas yet! We are so excited and can't wait for the fun he will have with all his presents and wrapping paper on Christmas morning. Adam and I can't wait to give him his presents! It's going to be so much fun!

Halloween

Here's our sweet little monkey on Halloween! He
did great! We were a little worried about how he'd do with his monkey head but he did great! We didn't go trick or treating, he's too young for that. But we went to our church's Halloween night and handed out candy at home in costume. And you can see our other little monkey with his Halloween scarf on! Both our babies were very cute!!

I just had to post this picture because it makes me smile! Aidan has started being so ticklish, it is so much fun! Here's Daddy tickling him and he is just having the best time! It's crazy how much his little personality comes out every day.

He's so busy these days! He's figured out how to get onto all 4's. He's not crawling yet but he's rocking back and forth! And he's figured out how to get to a sitting postition. It's so cool to watch him as he's learning new things every day! It's just the best!

Well, little bit is now sitting up by himself! He doesn't stay that way for very long so we stay pretty close by to catch him when he goes careening over!



Here we are at the Pumpkin Farm! We had so much fun! And we really had the perfect fall day for it. The weather was just beautiful!

Hello, all! Sorry we haven't posted in a while, we've had a busy week! Things are good though! We had Aidan's 6 month check up last week. He's 15 lbs 9 oz. and 28 1/4 in. long. I was a little worried that he was too skinny but the doctor said it was nothing to worry about. We did end up taking an extra trip to get an X-ray. The doctor heard a little pop in his hip and wanted to make sure everything was ok. And everything is fine, there's nothing to worry about but getting the X-ray was not fun for Aidan! He was not pleased!





Aidan's second tooth has now showed up! Here he is using it on his book! It makes reading to him a little challenging but funny none the less!















Here he is in his walker for the first time! He loves it! And he actually scoots around in it!














He looks so cute playing in it I couldn't resist putting another picture up!

We are loving this beautiful weather and hoping that it will last! We were able to actually take a walk in the afternoon without boiling! Sebastian was especially excited. And we got to turn Aidan around in the Baby Bjorn! He likes being able to see out much better. We are really looking forward to the fall, lots of pretty weather and fall festivals and football games! It's so much fun with Aidan, everything is a new adventure!

I put this in here because eating pictures are too cute! I'm sure I won't think so when he's older and we need a hose to clean him off! But for now, pretty cute!











This is the first time he's really been interested in watching his ball! He watched it roll around and pushed it himself. I think he proceeded to try and eat it after I took this picture! I thought it was sweet the way he was concentrating on it!

Happy Birthday!

Well, yesterday was Aidan's 6 month birthday! It's so hard to believe that it's been half a year! We had a pretty low key day, just played and went for a walk and the normal eating and sleeping!

I did have one special thing to share. We had one of those heart melting moments last night! It's the kind of moment that you just feel like your heart is going to explode from all the love. I had just finished nursing him before bedtime and was holding him. I leaned down to give him eskimo kisses. When I did, he put his sweet little hand on the side of my face and started to giggle. The more I did it, the more he giggled and got to laughing and squealing! I know it sounds like a small thing, but him holding my face and just the closeness was amazing! I couldn't help but think of Mary, "But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart." Not that I think I'm like Mary, but I think every parent has that special place in their heart for just that kind of memory. That's something precious that I can pull out whenever I want! What a blessing!

Well, we have 2 exciting things to share! The first is that this morning I felt his first tooth! He was chomping away on my finger as usual (my clean finger, I promise!) and I felt a little something! He would never let me look at it though. He just kept sticking his tongue out! But I was pretty excited to feel that tiny little bit of tooth!

The other thing is that we finally trimmed his old man comb-over, aka the long curl in the front! I honestly thought it would fall out like the rest of his hair, but it never did! So here are your before and after pictures! Enjoy! And I'll throw in a

Here I am in my chair! I'm falling over a bit but getting the hang of it. I love to sit in my chair except when I'm sleepy. Then I'm just not having it!

Here I am dancing with Mom! I love to do the cha cha! I squeal and laugh and think it's the most fun!

Sweet Boy

We are coming off the weekend which always leaves Aidan pretty tired. He was so precious this weekend! He has started really snuggling into you when you hold him. He did this a lot when he was a newborn and hasn't done it in awhile. He just lays his little head so sweetly against your chest or shoulder. It has to be one of the best feelings in the world! Of course he only does it when he's sleepy. The rest of the time he is busy checking everything out! It is so neat to see him learning all about the world around him. Everything is so exciting! I hear him waking up from his nap so that will be all for now. But we'll write more later!
